A magnitude 9.0 earthquake along the Cascadia subduction zone and the resulting tsunami have devastated the Pacific Northwest. Telephone and Internet service is gone, leaving ham radio operators our only means of communication with the outside world.
I'm 66 years old, and have worked all my life. I have also been married, raised a child and think I have had a fairly well-rounded life.
